You've learned the anatomy, you've learned
the exercises - Now, take the next step in your
knowledge of Pilates and your body. Learn to
apply your knowledge of anatomy to Pilates exercises.
This hands on workshop teaches you to determine
which muscles are working during specific pilates
exercises and how. Perfect for those preparing
to take their certification exam and for those
who want a deeper knowledge of how the body works.
Please note that this workshop does not count
toward STOTT PILATES CECs; however, can be petitioned.

Lab
After a brief lecture and demonstration, students
will get hands on application of anatomy and biomechanics
to Pilates exercises performed on various apparatus.
Students will work in groups to determine actions,
muscular emphasis, proper biomechanics and analysis.
Analysis and will be presented and discussed with
the whole class at the end. This is a great learning
environment for the study of movement of the body.
Anatomy 101 and Kineseology 101 are great preparations
for this workshop, but not required. Please note
that this workshop does not count toward STOTT PILATES
CECs.
prenatal
pilates on the reformer
This innovative workshop will help you take
Moms-to-be from the traditional Matwork variations
to modifications on the Reformer. Drawing on the
latest medical information and ACOG guidelines, anatomical
and physiological changes, risk factors and movement
considerations are discussed with an eye to providing
a safe and effective workout. Appropriate STOTT PILATES® exercise
adaptations are explored using the Reformer in innovative
and beneficial ways. Workouts are concentrated on
second trimester concerns, including the client’s
pre-pregnancy fitness level, health concerns and
fitness goals, although considerations for those
in first and third trimesters are addressed. (.2

This workshop will introduce participants
to a variety of exercises on the STOTT PILATES® Split-Pedal
Stability Chair that can benefit any level
of athlete. The capabilities of the
Chair will be highlighted, and all its features
will be utilized in the context of a well-rounded
workout designed to retrain imbalanced muscles
and builds on the strength and agility of the
whole body. Discover functional movements against

that train core stability while working bilaterally,

This hands on workshop outlines the importance
of postural analysis in programming STOTT PILATES® workouts.
Ideal posture as well as flat back, sway back
and kyphosis-lordosis
posture types will be reviewed. How muscle
imbalances typically manifest in static posture
will be covered and participants will practice
conducting postural analysis. Finally, common
Pilates exercise choices and modifications
to accommodate these imbalances and work toward
restoring balance in the musculature over time

This energizing workout incorporates the
12-inch Mini Flex-Ball™ to create total-body
strengthening and conditioning. The exercises
will work on improving posture with a major
focus on core stability and back mobility while

on the exercises learned in Level 1 to create
an awesome series that demonstrates how we
can enhance a standard Matwork routine by adding

you’ll learn variations and modifications
that will challenge and stimulate you and your
clients alike. Start with basic exercises then
progress to a much more challenging series

This workout is designed specifically
for golfers looking to increase club head speed
and get more distance on the drive. Participants
learn specifically chosen and modified STOTT
PILATES® Matwork
exercises, which work on increasing focus and

flexibility. Trainers can use this workout
to benefit any level golfer from amateur to

Functional Movement Patterns on the V2 Max Plus - The Angle Advantage
Explore how altering the angle of resistance (height) can assist with balance, proprioceptively stimulate the neuromuscular system, and provide support during standing, kneeling and lunging exercises. Find out how altering the angle of resistance and the versatility of one machine can target completely different stabilizing muscles – and cater to varying body mechanics.
Using the V2 Max Plus™ Reformer's adjustable pulley system we can facilitate and expand any existing Reformer repertoire. This machine allows for increased range of motion in tri-planar movements and additional support as needed through the full range of hip, shoulder and spinal movement. Essential Reformer on the V2 Max Plus
Explore how altering the angle of resistance can facilitate and expand your existing Reformer repertoire. In this workshop, participants will learn a series of Essential level exercises using the V2 Max Plus Reformer's adjustable pulley system and extensor straps. You will see how the angle of resistance can be changed to help engage the appropriate muscles and achieve increased range of motion in tri-planar movements. STOTT PILATES(r) SPRINGWALL
WORKSHOP
In this workshop, participants will discover the many programming options available
with the STOTT PILATES® Spring Wall. Individuals will explore how the roll-down
bar, arm and leg springs attached to any of the 12 spring hook positions can
add variety while targeting individual muscle groups and creating simple to more
complex movement patterns. Participants will discover how a wide range of exercises
can be programmed into a full Spring Wall workout or used as a complement to
