JG Winter Conference, DEC 5-7

It’s hard to believe that we’re talking about our December event already.  This year is speeding by though and the time to plan is now.  Our conferences are a great way to gain knowledge from expert trainers, enhance your teaching skills, get your required continuing education credits, and connect with other instructors.  And, if you sign up early (before October 16) you’ll save 10% off of the registration fees.  Click here for more details.

This year we have 5 incredible Presenters in our line up.

Melanie Byford-Young, STOTT PILATES* Master Instructor Trainer

Melanie Byford-Young, STOTT PILATES* Master Instructor Trainer

Melanie Byford-Young is back by popular demand.  Melanie owns Pacific Northwest Pilates in Portland, Or.  She has a way of presenting material in an interesting and thought provoking way, while making it so much fun, it should be called a fun-shop not a workshop.  Even if you’ve taken the session before, taking it again with Melanie is like taking it for the first time.  Melanie is teaching some new workshops like Optimization of the Shoulder Complex as well as some favorites, like Knee Stability.  Click here to see the full schedule.

John Garey, Master Instructor Trainer

John Garey, Master Instructor Trainer

I’m thrilled to be presenting Extreme Training Camp (XTC), a workshop from my JG FIT (Fitness Instructor Training) Program.  This is not a STOTT PILATES workshop, so you will receive ACE CECs for this one, but not STOTT PILATES CECs.  XTC is an action-packed workshop, including a “how to” section for creating successful small group fitness programs.  It also includes a challenging circuit workout in our state of the art Small Group Training room.

I’m also really excited to present two of my all time favorite STOTT PILATES workshops: Stability Ball Challenge (level 5) uses the ball with exercises taken from the Cadillac and the Chair for a creative and challenging workout;  And Reformer with the Fitness Circle is packed with great variations for all levels.  On Sunday, I’m so excited to teach some Athletic Conditioning Specialty Track workshops that I created for STOTT PILATES: Athletic Conditioning on the Cardio Tramp Rebounder is a fast paced workshop featuring exercises that can be used with either the Jumpboard or the Cardio Tramp Rebounder.  This workshop gives you the tools to create your own workouts and also gives you some really fun variations as well.  And finally, I’m teaching Athletic Conditioning on the Reformer, level 3 and 4.  These 2 workshops have challenging and innovative exercises with progressions and regressions so that you can challenge clients at any level of fitness.

So I hope you’ll join us for this amazing event!  If you have more questions and to register, call our Education Hotline at (562) 430-3006.
